UPT ICT Holds Internal Meeting Regarding Synchronization of E-Ganesha with PDDIKTI and SISTER

An internal meeting with the topic “Synchronization of E-Ganesha with PDDIKTI and Sisters” was held in the UPT ICT leadership room which took place on Tuesday (27/4). The meeting chaired by I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom was attended by the Head of the Information Systems Division I Nyoman Laba Jayanta, S.Pd., M.Pd. and Head of the Gede Data and Information Center Division Aditra Pradnya, S.Kom., M.Kom. as well as the development team involved.

In the near future, UPPT ICT will synchronize data with PDDIKTI. PDDIKTI is a nationally integrated data collection center and higher education institution managed by the Director General of Higher Education. The data stored at PDDIKTI is the result of synchronization managed by each national university which is one of the instruments for implementing quality assurance. Managing higher education data requires a systematic process of compiling and organizing information, for which each university should have its own database.

The synchronization of E-Ganesha with PDDIKTI was carried out considering that data synchronization is one of the instruments for quality assurance as regulated in article 56 paragraph 2 of Law no. 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education states that the Higher Education Database, as referred to in paragraph (1) functions as a source of information for:

  1. Accreditation institutions, to carry out accreditation of Study Programs and Higher Education Institutions;
  2. Government, to regulate, plan, supervise, monitor,
    and evaluation as well as development and coordination of Study Programs and Higher Education; And
  3. Community, to find out the performance of study programs and universities

This law shows that all information and data contained in PDDIKTI are easily accessible by accreditation institutions, the government, and the public.

Apart from that, UNDIKSHA will enter the stage of accepting new students who of course must make preparations to synchronize data with PDDIKTI. Before that, previous data on students and teaching staff needs to be updated considering that some data has undergone changes that require updating so that the data in the national database becomes valid.
