Participating in the Success of International Programs, UPA ICT Accepts Students from Holy Cross Of Davao College Philippines

Undiksha, Singaraja – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is again carrying out an international program in collaboration with the Holy Cross of Davao College, Philippines. This program consists of Introductory Field Practice (PPL), Field Work Practice (PKL), and Real Work Lectures (KKN) attended by 19 students from various fields of study for two weeks.

The presence of students from abroad at Undiksha is a form of follow-up to the collaboration established between Undiksha and the Holy Cross of Davao College in January 2023. The implementation of this international program provides invaluable experience for students from both universities.

Vice Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., said that the presence of foreign students at Undiksha was expected to have a positive impact both for students, faculties, and related units. In addition, this activity can also strengthen Undiksha as an international community learning center or internationalization at home which was launched in 2019.

Of the 19 students in this international program, one foreign student was placed at UPA ICT Undiksha with the aim of participating and collaborating in developing website content. It is an honor for UPA ICT Undiksha to have been trusted as one of the units participating in the success of the internationalization program at home.

The presence of these foreign students was welcomed by the Leaders and Staff of UPA ICT Undiksha. The foreign student named Cymon Abarsolo who is often called “Cymon” is a student of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Holy Cross of Davao College, Philippines. With the study program in which Cymon is placed, it is very appropriate to be placed at UPA ICT Undiksha, because Cymon and other foreign students can participate and establish collaboration with UPA ICT in managing website media and content in the webometrics event. This is also a good opportunity for Undiksha to introduce Undiksha abroad, especially in the Philippines.

It is hoped that in the future foreign students placed at UPA ICT can work together to help improve quality and support Undiksha’s website webometrics ranking and introduce Undikha abroad, so that in the future more and more students will be interested in participating in student exchange programs from abroad to Undiksha.
