As a first step or the opening for the implementation of ISO activities, especially at Technical Implementation Unit Information Communication and Technology (UPT ICT) Undiksha, on ??Thursday (30/9), UPT ICT Undiksha held a kick-off meeting of ISO 9001: 2015 quality management online via zoom.

Also attending the event were the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Alumni

Erwin, ST, MT, CLA ISO 9001 and the Consultant Team from PT. BTS and Team ISO 9001:2015 UPT ICT Undiksha

At the opening of the Kick-Off Meeting, I Made Ardwi Pradnyana, S.T., M.T. the Coordinator of the QMS Team (Quality Management System), expressed his gratitude to all leaders, and asked for the team’s support in the implementation and certification of the ISO program in the future.

“The activity will take place in the next few months, and in March 2022, UPT ICT will start applying for ISO certification,” said Ardwi in closing his remarks.

The event continued with the consultant’s introduction of ISO certification and service quality improvement.

“When it comes to implementing a quality management system, what is needed is a shared commitment. The iso team at UPT ICT and interested parties, including institutions/bureaus in Undiksha, need to know and be involved. Because the standards that will be established at UPT ICT will be standards that focus on quality improvement, which will affect the institutions/units in Undiksha”, said Mr. Erwin, the head of the consultant team of PT. BTS.

The event continued with remarks from the Vice Rector 1 of Undiksha; in his presentation, he revealed that in 2021 Undiksha had made many efforts to improve quality, both in management, the main task of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. PT. BTS, Mr. Erwin, helped us to implement ISO at FTK and UPT ICT. Hopefully, everything goes well and runs smoothly, and is able to achieve the results we expect together with ISO 9001 certification.

“ISO 9001:2015, our goal is not for a piece of paper to show to the wider community, but the most substance is how we improve governance at UPT ICT, in other units and also hope that the implementation of ISO 9001 can improve our services to all stakeholders, both internal and external,” said the Badung-born academic.

At the Kick-Off Meeting, all staff/members in Undiksha and UPT ICT signed a joint commitment regarding implementing the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Closing the welcome ceremony, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. Hope that ISO implementation activities can run smoothly and successfully and can be one of the critical points during visits related to international accreditation through the AQAS agency for 21 study programs at the university.

“Hopefully, 2022 will be a blessing for all of us, firstly, we are internationally accredited by AQAS for all study programs, and secondly, we get a 9001:2015 certificate for two units in FTK and UPT ICT”.
