Discussion on E-Archive System Design Strategies to Improve Archive Efficiency and Accountability

Tuesday (16/5) – Taking place in the Undiksha ICT UPA Basic lab room, a discussion was held on designing the development of the E-Archive system as an effort to increase efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and accountability for filing management within Undiksha.

The discussion was attended by a number of archivists and academic staff from various work units at Undiksha, including programmers who will be assigned to develop this system. This discussion is the first step in designing and implementing an E-Archive system which is expected to replace more traditional manual processes.

In this discussion, various aspects related to the development of the E-Archive system were discussed, starting from discussing system flow, selecting the appropriate technology infrastructure, efficient document and information organization, to security and privacy measures that must be implemented. Therefore, a follow-up to this discussion is that the Undiksha Archives team will prepare the guidelines and data sources needed for the development of the E-Archives system. So that in the next discussion meeting the data will become the material and rules set in the development of the E-Archive system.
