Singaraja, December 18, 2023 – Head of the Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA ICT) Undiksha, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom, together with the Head of the Network Infrastructure and Security Division, Gede Arna Jude Saskara, S.T., M.T, welcomed the arrival of 11 intern students from SMK Negeri 3 Singaraja (STEMSI). These students will undergo an internship program at UPA ICT Undiksha to gain practical experience in the field of information technology.

In the welcoming event which took place in the UPA ICT Undiksha meeting room, the Head of UPA ICT, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom, introduced the UPA ICT work unit which plays an important role in managing Information Technology facilities in the Undiksha environment. He explained that UPA ICT is responsible for the development, maintenance, and provision of information technology services to support academic and administrative activities at the university.

The session continued with the Head of the Network Infrastructure and Security Division, providing an overview of the division’s role in maintaining the security and smoothness of the network at Undiksha. “Information technology is the backbone of various activities at Undiksha, and we are responsible for ensuring that network infrastructure and security are always maintained,” said Gede Arna Jude Saskara, S.T., M.T.

Then, the Head of UPA ICT Undiksha allowed the intern students to introduce themselves and share their interests and knowledge in the field of technology. It is hoped that this session will help UPA ICT to place intern students on assignments that suit their abilities and interests.

“Giving assignments during this internship is not only aimed at providing practical experience but also to shape and improve students’ skills in the field of information technology,” said I Ketut Resika Arthana. “We hope that what they learn and experience during their internship they can apply in the world of work in the future.”

The event ended with the hope that this internship program would provide maximum benefits for students and also contribute to the development of information technology potential at Undiksha. Intern students are expected to make positive contributions during their internship period and take home valuable experience to apply in the future.
