In order to maintain the quality of internet services in Undiksha, UPA ICT together with the Network Infrastructure and Security Division team held a meeting to design solutions for network needs in 2024. This meeting was the result of monitoring the use of internet services in Undiksha so far, which revealed a significant increase in usage. internet network in Undiksha, Thursday (14/09/2023).
The results of monitoring that have been carried out to date show a significant increase in internet network usage during critical hours between 11 a.m. and 12 noon. This increase is believed to be caused by a surge in the number of students accessing the Undiksha internet network as well as the high intensity of activities involving the network. As the end of the academic year approaches, the intensity of network use is increasing along with various important activities carried out by students and teaching staff.
In the ongoing meeting, various solutions were proposed to overcome the challenges of increasing network usage. Some solutions that have been proposed include:
- Infrastructure Improvements: UPA ICT Undiksha plans to strengthen network infrastructure on campus by increasing capacity and expanding the range of internet access.
- Collaboration with Service Providers: UPA ICT plans to collaborate more closely with internet service providers to ensure the provision of adequate bandwidth and stable service quality.
This meeting shows the seriousness of UPA ICT Undiksha in maintaining the quality of internet services to better support education and academic activities. The strategic decisions taken at this meeting will help provide optimal services for students, staff, and the entire campus community in 2024.
