In order to avoid plagiarism detection in writing students’ final scientific papers, the History, Sociology, and Library Departments invited the ICT UPT and Library UPT teams to socialize the system. The activity took place last Friday (6/12) at the seminar building of the Undiksha Faculty of Law and Social Sciences and was opened directly by the Dean of FHIS, Prof. Dr. Sukadi, M.Pd., M.Ed. By taking the theme “Introducing Turnitin to Avoid Plagiarism for History Education Study Program and D3 Library Students”, it is hoped that the activity can run well so that what is hoped for can be achieved, said the FHIS dean.
The total number of participants who attended was 35 students from the D3 Library and Bachelor of History study programs accompanied by 22 lecturers in the department. I Nyoman Laba Jayanta, S.Pd., M.Pd. as the second presenter (from the UPT ICT team) started delivering material from 10.00 WITA by providing important information regarding systems and information to students such as the aims and objectives of various systems in improving higher education clustering, introduction to the flow of the Undiksha system as well as synchronization and linkages with the central system like Rama & Anjani; introduction of plagiarism and its types, resources and flow of detection and synchronization of the national plagiarism system; techniques for preventing and avoiding plagiarism; techniques for citing and writing scientific papers, procedures for checking final assignments, as well as exam and graduation registration, flows, complete with the related systems used.
