Singaraja – The Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) Information and Communication Technology Academic Support Unit held a special meeting to discuss plans and follow-up actions related to improving internet services on campus. This meeting was attended by various related parties, including providers who are currently collaborating with Undiksha in building harmonious internet service infrastructure, on Tuesday (30/01/2024).
During the meeting, the Head of UPA ICT Undiksha, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom., opened the event by underlining the importance of good internet services to support comfortable academic activities in the campus environment. He said that developing internet services was one of Undiksha’s main focuses in improving the quality of education and services for the entire academic community.
One of the important points discussed was the plan to improve internet services throughout the campus area. This is expected to increase efficiency and productivity in the implementation of online lectures, research, and academic administration. Undiksha’s information technology team has carried out a needs analysis and prepared an implementation plan which will be implemented soon.
Apart from that, the meeting also discussed plans to improve the Wi-Fi network in various strategic locations on campus, such as libraries, lecture halls, and other public areas. This increase is expected to provide stable and high-quality internet access for all Undiksha students and staff.
The meeting ended with a joint agreement to continue monitoring and evaluating the implementation of internet service improvements in Undiksha. All parties agree that good quality internet service is an important investment in improving the quality of education and satisfaction of the Undiksha academic community.
