BSrE Review Undiksha’s Electronic Signature Implementation

Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) has implemented electronic certificates for some services. This is in order to realize an effective and efficient service. More than a year running, the implementation of electronic certificates was reviewed by the Electronic Certification Center (BSrE)-National Cyber and Crypto Agency, Tuesday (26/10/2021).

The review activity took place offline at the Video Conference building of UPT ICT Undiksha. Also present in action were Vice-Rector 1 Undiksha Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. representing the Undiksha Rector who could not attend, and all UPT ICT Undiksha leaders and staff who were tasked with supporting the implementation of the TTE.

The review was carried out by a team consisting of Elena Sabarina, Taufiq Shokhiful Azhar, and Affifa Nurrahmawati. There are various agendas carried out, including the submission of the results of the implementation of electronic certificates by Undiksha, clarification of several questions by the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) UPT team submitted by the BSrE team, as well as discussions/input on TTE implementation from BSrE-National Cyber and Crypto Agency.

The activity opened directly by the Vice-Rector 1 Undiksha Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I was tough and smooth.

“There are five systems that we have applied with this electronic certificate. The first is related to the legalization of diplomas, transcripts, and SKPI for graduates, and then there is an academic information system, then there is a remuneration system, then there is an e-office system, both mobile and web-based. Then there is also the submission of electronic signatures for all files or documents that lecturers, employees, and students can use,” he explained in the activity.

In addition to various review agendas, on the same occasion, there was also a socialization of the renewal of the E-sign system technology integrated with the E-sign On-Premise service model by BSrE staff Taufiq Shokhiful Azhar. The presentation of material and practicum of program implementation was carried out directly in front of the programmer staff of UPT ICT Undiksha.

Undiksha’s electronic signature system, launched at the end of 2019, is planned to include module adjustments based on the input of the BSre team. The five main systems that will be re-registered will soon implement and replace the obsolete P12 module next year.

The E-sign module that BSrE has developed is sure to provide the benefits of easier implementation and better user security guarantees. It is hoped that the use of electronic signatures will increase and can be useful for all users.
