Singaraja- In order to improve the quality of services and efficiency of information technology within the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), the Head of the Undiksha Information and Communication Technology Academic Support Unit (UPA ICT) together with the division heads held a strategic meeting. The main agenda for this meeting is to discuss competency development plans for UPA ICT staff, with a focus on training and certification, on Monday (05/02/2024).
The meeting, which was attended by the head of the UPA ICT division, discussed concrete plans to increase competency, especially in two main areas: competency development for programmers and competency development for other division staff.
One of the main points in the competency development plan is improving technical skills for programmers. UPA ICT Undiksha is planning a series of training that will cover the latest updates in programming and information technology. In addition, staff in this field are also expected to obtain relevant certifications to guarantee a verified level of expertise.
Not only that, the competency development plan also involves staff outside the programming field. They will be provided with in-depth training regarding IT project management, technical support, and mastery of the latest tools. The goal is to create an integrated team with diverse capabilities, supporting the operational effectiveness of UPA ICT.
Head of UPA ICT, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom., stated, “This competency development plan is a strategic step to face the demands of technology that continue to develop. We hope that, with this increase in competency, UPA ICT Undiksha staff can make maximum contributions in supporting the success of the university’s academic and administrative missions.”
UPA ICT Undiksha also emphasizes the importance of continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure the effectiveness of this competency development plan. The hope is that increasing the competency of UPA ICT staff will have a positive impact on information technology services and performance throughout the university environment.
