Singaraja- The external audit of ISO 9001:2015 for the Technical Implementation Unit for Technology, Information, and Communication (UPT ICT) at Ganesha Education University was completed, Wednesday (27/7/2022). As a result, it was declared to have passed certification. This was announced directly by the auditor, Poernomo Amiprodjo at the end of the session which was also attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation at Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I.
Amiprodjo explained that based on the results of the two-day audit, various requirements had been fulfilled by UPT ICT. “The results are once again related to ISO 9001:2015, all requirements are met,” he said. However, he still provided a number of suggestions that were considered important to support service improvements. It was further stated that the results of this audit will be accompanied by a follow-up audit scheduled for July 2023. This is in order to ensure the implementation of ISO 9001:2015.
Meanwhile, Rasben Dantes expressed his appreciation for the audit which had run smoothly. He considered this to be a new experience, especially for UPT ICT. “With ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, it doesn’t stop here. “This will always be visited, it will always be audited regularly so that we can improve the recommendations,” he said.
It is hoped that the success of achieving the ISO 9001:2015 certificate will have an impact on the quality of UPT ICT services, which cover quite a lot and will be a motivation to continue to develop and improve to support Undiksha to become a superior and competitive university. “I think this (UPT ICT, ed) is the wet kitchen of our university. All difficult things and so on are at UPT ICT. And this is also a mini world of Undiksha. “If this is destroyed then it’s finished, because all the data, backup data, applications currently used to support academic and non-academic domains will really depend on all of you,” he said.
