In order to support the achievement of international accreditation, UPT ICT Undiksha held training activities to fill out website content for IT staff within Undiksha and study programs participating in AQAS accreditation. The activity took place on Wednesday (24/11), at the UPT ICT Vicon Room since 09.00 WITA.
The activity was opened directly by the Head of UPT ICT, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom. accompanied by the Head of the Content Management Division and the staff on duty. The activity, which was attended by IT staff from the Faculty/Postgraduate/Institution/Unit/PJM/BKK/Middle Functional Officials for Academic, Student Affairs, and Rectorate Personnel at the Ganesha University of Education, specifically discussed preparations for the implementation of AQAS accreditation which will take place in early 2022.
Representing WR 1 and Chair of International Accreditation, the Head of UPT ICT conveyed various important things that the website IT team had to do.
“The website at Undiksha is expected to be a showcase for information from each Unit/Prodi/Faculty because when you want to find certain information, you will first search on the website. “So the hope is that in the future, the website you have will really be alive and of course, it is hoped that it can improve SEO,” said the Head of UPT ICT conveying the message from Vice Chancellor 1 Undiksha who was unable to attend.
He further stated that the aim of carrying out today’s activity is related to international accreditation. When talking about international matters, the first thing to check is the website.
“What’s the first look like, to make it look attractive, we need to beautify the website and update the information. “We hope that after this activity the managed website will be updated in terms of appearance, content, and news,” he added in delivering his remarks.
After opening the activity, the event was continued by the Head of the Content Management Division with a presentation of information regarding the current condition of website content, the data requirements for the AQAS website that must be completed, the menu structure and content, along with important matters regarding welcoming international accreditation.
The meeting, which took place last Wednesday, also invited the Elementary Technology Education cluster study program, which consists of S1 PGSD, S2 Elementary Education, S3 Basic Education, S3 Education Science, and S1 TP. The IT website admin for the Postgraduate environment is handled directly by Postgraduate IT, while the PGSD and TP website admin has been handled directly by the respective officers appointed by the study program. This special cluster invitation was carried out considering that it was used as a sample project for other clusters in website development, before continuing to invite other cluster teams on a predetermined date.
On the same occasion, content content training was also carried out for the IT team of website operators including the process of managing pages, managing posts, using website translation facilities, and introducing various new features in the latest CMS. Discussion sessions also complement the activities.
It is hoped that through this meeting, the contents of the Undiksha website can be updated regularly and equipped with two languages ??(Indonesian and English). Content translation will be assisted by the translation team from UPT Bahasa, while each operator will input content into the website independently.
“Activities will not stop here, UPT ICT will monitor, conduct training, and evaluate every website that you manage,” said the Head of UPT ICT when ending his speech.
