Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), through the Information and Communication Technology Academic Support Unit (UPA TIK), conducted a socialization session on the updated attendance system integrated into the e-Ganesha application on Tuesday (07/01/2025). The event was led by the Head of UPA TIK, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom., and was attended by key university officials, including the Vice Rector II, the Head of General and Financial Bureau, the Head of Planning and Cooperation Bureau, the Deputy Director II of the Postgraduate, and the Deputy Director of SDP Denpasar.
During the session, it was explained that under the latest policy, lecturers are required to record their attendance on campus for all designated working days within a month. Attendance must be logged through the e-Ganesha application, a digital system designed to enhance transparency and accuracy in monitoring lecturer presence. This system not only streamlines attendance reporting but also serves as a strategic initiative to reinforce discipline and ensure lecturers’ active engagement in the academic environment.
This system update aligns with Undiksha’s broader efforts to integrate technology into university governance, fostering a more accountable and productive work culture. It emphasizes the importance of lecturers’ physical presence on campus as a fundamental aspect of fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.
The initiative received positive feedback from attendees, who also provided constructive input to support a smooth implementation process. UPA TIK reaffirmed its commitment to offering technical assistance and training to facilitate a seamless transition to the new system. By implementing the e-Ganesha-based attendance system, Undiksha aims to enhance academic productivity while creating a more modern and efficient work environment.
