The Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK) at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held an important meeting with the agenda of “Cyber Attack Mitigation” on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The meeting addressed various aspects of cyber attack threats, including how such attacks occur and strategic measures to handle them.
During this meeting, the UPA TIK team reviewed common types of cyber attacks that frequently pose threats, such as phishing, malware, and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, as well as effective management procedures that can be implemented to minimize their impact. Additionally, several follow-up actions have been planned to prevent the recurrence of these attacks in the future. These measures include strengthening firewalls, regularly updating software, and enhancing the awareness and training of staff responsible for cyber security.
Through these steps, UPA TIK aims to bolster cybersecurity within the campus environment, preventing similar potential attacks in the future and ensuring the continued smooth operation of Undiksha’s information systems.
