Singaraja, Bali – Undiksha plans to develop a revolutionary system for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), involving the creation of a web-based registration platform. This plan was discussed at a strategic meeting, where UPA ICT together with LPPM Undiksha developed concrete steps to simplify the IPR registration process for the academic community and the general public, Tuesday (06/02/2024).
The proposed system will facilitate registration for various forms of IPR, including Copyrights, Trademarks, and Patents. Registration can be accessed not only by Undiksha internally but also by outsiders who want to register their products. This is expected to expand accessibility and increase participation in IPR protection.
In the context of internal development, the proposed system will ensure that lecturers who have obtained certificates from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) can directly submit information on their performance. This will speed up the administrative process and ensure transparency regarding achievements in the field of IPR.
The integrated synchronization process will allow the IPR section to directly send data to SINTA (Science and Technology Index). In addition, a direct signature from the dean of each unit will be the final step in validating and giving validity to each IPR registration.
It is hoped that the development of this system will not only increase Undiksha’s administrative efficiency but also significantly contribute to increasing the number and quality of IPRs produced by the university academic community.
