Singaraja – The Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK) at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held an important meeting to initiate the development of the Student Affairs Management Information System (SIMKEMAHASISWAAN). The meeting took place in the UPA TIK Meeting Room on Thursday, October 30, 2024, and was attended by the Head of Academic Affairs, who outlined the primary requirements of the system. This initiative aims to improve the effectiveness of student data management and strengthen academic services. 

During the meeting, the UPA TIK team, together with representatives from Undiksha’s academic division, discussed detailed specifications and features required for SIMKEMAHASISWAAN. These include supporting various aspects of student activities such as personal data administration, scholarship services, and monitoring student organization activities. The Head of Academic Affairs emphasized the importance of integrating this new system seamlessly with existing academic platforms to ensure efficient and real-time student data management.

SINKEMAHASISWAAN is expected to deliver significant benefits, including improved data accessibility and security, enhanced communication between the university and students, and innovative digital solutions to address the challenges of student management in the modern era. The UPA TIK Team has also committed to developing the system with high data security standards and user-friendly features tailored to the needs. 

With this initial meeting, Undiksha aims to complete the development phase of SIMKEMAHASISWAAN within the next few months. The system will then undergo testing and be implemented to support student affairs activities across the university, making a significant step forward in academic service modernization.
