Evaluation Meeting of Undiksha’s Information System Towards Digital Efficiency and Innovation 2025

Singaraja, December 23, 2024 – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held an evaluation meeting of its information systems with great enthusiasm. The event was attended by the Vice Rector II Undiksha, Prof Dr. I Wayan Artanayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd., the Head of UPA TIK, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom., Division Heads, an Informatics Technology (IT) operators from various units, institutions, and faculties within the university, aimed to strengthen digital integration and innovation. 

The meeting was opened by the Head of UPA TIK, I Ketut Resika Arthana, who expressed gratitude for the active participation of all attendees. In his opening remarks, Vice Rector II emphasized the significance of an integrated information system in supporting the university’s vision of becoming a center of excellence in education.

In his directive, Prof. Artanayasa highlighted that effective integration of information systems is essential for improving operational performance and services at Undiksha. He stressed that feedback from IT operators is crucial for identifying challenges and finding appropriate solutions. 

Beyond addressing current issues and gathering input for system development, the meeting also introduced plans for implementing SHAVIRA, an Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) based on Large Language Model (LLM) architecture. Designed to operate like ChatGPT, SHAVIRA is expected to deliver fast and accurate responses to user queries.

SHAVIRA’s initial implementation will focus on assisting with the new student admission process. During the meeting, IT operators discussed data requirements to ensure SHAVIRA possesses in-depth knowledge about Undiksha, enabling it to provide optimal services to prospective students and other stakeholders. 

This meeting also served as a platform for productive discussions, allowing participants to explore issues, propose solutions, and strategize steps to enhance efficiency of the university’s existing information systems.

With the successful implementation of this meeting, Undiksha aims to strengthen its integrated information systems and embrace digital innovation to provide superior educational and administrative services.
