Anticipating Data Leaks, UPT ICT Carries Out Security Improvements to Information Systems

Singaraja – Located in the Video Conference room on Wednesday (31/8), UPT ICT Undiksha holding security improvement meetings and anticipating Information System data leaks in the Undiksha environment. Participants attended inviting all Division Heads and staff responsible for managing systems, web, and servers.

This activity, which took place during the day, starting at 13.30, was an effort by UPT ICT to anticipate possible data leaks held by Undiksha. Security improvements The Undiksha Information System is actively carried out through joint work to update security and implement regular data/database backups.

As is known, Undiksha now has more than 50 active information systems and is used to support the University’s performance, with the amount of data increasing regularly and being connected between systems that have one large data, its security must be maintained.

Data leaks, which result in data being lost or being used negatively by irresponsible parties, will continue to be prevented early on.

This activity doesn’t last a day, it’s an adjustment security that is being actively carried out and will be carried out periodically to ensure that data stored at Undiksha remains SAFE.

Prevention is certainly not optimal if it is done one-sidedly. UPT ICT hopes that there will be support from the academic community and service visitors so that they can always share information if they find gaps in data leaks and reports of system/website security that are less secure.
