Singaraja, February 10, 2025 – The Information and Communication Technology Academic Support Unit (UPA TIK) held a discussion regarding the 2025 Independent Pathway  New Student Admission System. The meeting, which took place in the office of the Vice Chancellor 1 of Undiksha, focused on various technical aspects and policies to be implemented in the selection of new students applying through independent pathways. It was attended by Undiksha’s Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., Head of Undiksha UPA TIK, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., and the New Student Admission System Development Team.

The discussion primarily addressed system preparation, selection schemes, and admission regulation. This year, Undiksha’s Independent Self-Selection will be conducted through three main pathways: Talent Scouting Selection designed for prospective students with academic and non-academic achievements at the national and international level, Report Card Score Selection which considers academic grades throughout high school period as the basis for new student admissions, and UTBK Selection which uses the results of the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) as the selection criterion.

One of key innovations in 2025 Independent Selection is the UTBK Selection, which will be designed to accommodate both offline and online participation based on students’ domiciles. This initiative allows applicants to take the selection test from their respective locations, eliminating the need for in-person attendance on campus.

As part of the preparation process, Undiksha will develop technical guidelines for applicants, ensure infrastructure readiness, and conduct outreach programs to inform prospective students and high schools about the selection mechanisms.

Through this discussion, Undiksha aims to ensure a smooth, transparent, and efficient selection process, ultimately attracting top-tier students who will contribute to and thrive within Undiksha’s academic environment.
