STIKOM Bali Conducts IT Governance Benchmarking at UPA TIK Undiksha

Singaraja– The Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK) of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) welcomed a delegation from the Institute of Technology and Business STIKOM Bali on Friday, June 7, 2024. This visit aimed to benchmark information technology (IT) management practices at Ganesha University of Education.

The STIKOM Bali delegation was led by Shofwan Hanief, S.Kom., M.T., Director of Digitalization at STIKOM Bali, accompanied by I Made Agus Wirahadi Putra., S.Pd., M.Eng., Data Center Coordinator, Yohanes Priyo Atmojo, S.Kom., M.Eng., Information System Development Coordinator, Muhammad Riza Hilmi, S.T., M.T., Network Coordination, and Ni Wayan Yuniarti, S.Kom., Digitalization Staff.

The purpose of this visit was to learn and adopt best practices in IT governance as applied by UPA TIK Undiksha. The STIKOM Bali delegation was warmly welcomed by Ida Komang Widhiarjaya, S.T., Secretary of UPA TIK Undiksha, along with Gede Arna Jude Sskara, S.T., M.T., Head of Infrastructure Division, I Made Dendi Maysanjaya, S.Pd., M.Eng., Head of Data Center Division, and I Nyoman Laba Jayanta, S.Pd., M.Pd., Head of Information System Division. The hosts presented a range of innovations and developed systems, including data management, information system development, and efficient and effective network infrastructure. A primary focus was an interactive discussion on the challenges and solutions in IT governance.

This visit is part of STIKOM Bali’s effort to enhance the quality of its IT management. By learning from a more advanced institution in this field, STIKOM Bali aims to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of IT service on its campus.

The benchmarking activity concluded with a tour of UPA TIK Undiksha’s facilities, where the STIKOM Bali delegation observed the operations of the data center, server room, and other supporting infrastructure.

It is hoped that through this activity, STIKOM Bali can implement the best practices learned to improve IT governance quality at their institution, thereby providing enhanced support to their academic community.
