Singaraja, August 7, 2024 – The Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK) of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held an emergency meeting to address the cyber attack that targeted Undiksha’s academic system and main domain. This attack has caused the Undiksha academic information system to go offline, rendering it inaccessible to the university community.
The emergency meeting was attended by the Head of UPA TIK Undiksha, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom., the Head of the Network Security Division, Gede Arna Jude Saskara, S.T., M.T., as well as the security and Data Center teams. In his opening remarks, I Ketut Resika Arthana stated, “This cyber attack poses a serious threat to the integrity and security of academic data. The technical team must work diligently to neutralize this attack and restore access to the academic information system as quickly as possible.”
The UPA TIK Undiksha technical team is currently working non-stop to identify and resolve the security vulnerabilities exploited by the attackers. Every effort is being made to recover the system and ensure the continued security of academic data.
Students and staff at Undiksha are urged to remain calm and stay informed through the university’s official communication channels. UPA TIK has also established a help center to provide technical assistance and further information to manage this urgent situation.
With the strategic measures already taken, Undiksha hopes to resolve the attack swiftly and restore normal operations to the academic information system.
