Wave 1 of the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) as a stage of the Joint Selection for State University Entrance (SBMPTN) began taking place at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), last Saturday (13/4/2019).
As one of the places for carrying out tests, Ganesha University of Education uses 9 laboratories spread across various areas of the Undiksha Singaraja Campus, both on the lower campus and the middle campus. Specifically for carrying out tests at UPT ICT, 3 rooms are used, namely the East Lab, West Lab, and Vicon Room.
Reporting from the undiksha.ac.id website, the Exam Implementation Coordinator, Kadek Yota Ernanda A, S.Kom., M.T., Ph.D. explained that overall, the number of exam participants reached 3,285 people, divided into Science and Technology and Social Sciences. They are registered in waves I and II. “Today’s exam is the first for wave I,” he explained. It was further stated that the exam was held every Saturday and Sunday, divided into two sessions, and ended on May 4. “After this, the exams for wave II will continue. The times are also Saturday and Sunday. Ends May 26,” he said.
To expedite the implementation, a simulation had previously been carried out. The readiness of all devices has been confirmed. “We have made preparations beforehand. “The exam places are in nine rooms,” said the academic who is also the Head of the Undiksha Information and Communication Technology Technical Implementation Unit (UPT-TIK). The exam is closely supervised. Participants are not permitted to bring equipment other than what is needed. Ensure that there are no answer key leaks. “The new system was opened before the exam,” he explained.
